NTUCs involvement in rescue and relief work
- Affiliates, regional committees and district committees of Nepal Trade Union Congress are working urgently to provide emergency search and rescue, relief work to provide tents, food, clean water and medicine etc. They are also collecting the data of affected members and their families from earthquake.
- We have sent central level team in the 14 highly affected districts for coordination, cooperation, mobilization to distribute the relief materials to affected people and also collection the information from field.
- NTUC affiliates ( Health, Teacher, finance, Transport etc.) districts (Kathmandu, Parsa, Kailali etc.) are supplying tents, food etc. to Sindhupalchowk and Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.
- We have conducted NTUC Relief Fund for the rehabilitation where NTUC has put the seed money and our affiliates and district committees are collecting the money from their members.
- On 13 May, We have distributed the tent, rice, oil and salt in Setdevi VDC, Kathmandu in the presence of Mr. Noriyuki Suzuki, General-Secretary of ITUC-AP, Mr. Khila Nath Dahal, Mr. Laxman Basnet.
