14 September, 2016 Hard hit affected earthquake area Gorkha organized the western regional workshop on organizational development program. Spirit among the participation was high and the attendence was also 60, as everybody was excited with the workshop. The chairman of the workshop was Nepal Trade Union Congress Gorkha District President Mr. Khun Prasad Regmi and the Chief Guest was Nepal Trade Union Congress President Mr. Khilanath Dahal. There was also the presence of Senior Vice President Ramjee Kunwar, Vice president Ganesh Niraula, General Secretary Mahendra Prasad Yadav, Treasurer Yogendra Kunwar, Deputy General Secretary Aasha singh Rathor, NTUC central member Pratima shah, Ishwor Pariyar, Kaji Shrestha, Regional president of Western region Mr. Murari Sharma and many more leaders from the district and affiliates Union. During the workshop President Dahal explained the relief fund that has been distributed to the member of NTUC. He also clarified the constraints of financial weakness while assisting the victims. President of Gorkha Mr. Regmi said they are hoping the betterment of the organization and also expect to look after the people of epicenter of the quake region. Senior Vice president also told, the time is now to improve and strengthen the organization and also told they await for queries and question regarding the workshop. Similarly, General Secretary explained about the session and the issues and cases that is to be presented and discussed in the two day program. Accordingly, Vice president Mr. Ganesh Niraula explained about the process of constitutional revision of the organization and the verdict and suggestion that are essential through out the session. Treasurer Mr. Kunwar created some norms that should be followed during the session. He also later explained about the process of financial improvement and development of the funding. The session continued with the presentation of district representatives about the organizational and financial statement and they also engaged in the open discussion procedure. Their suggestions such as to improve the effectiveness of the members of the NTUC and its affiliates, process of inclusion of the youth, women in the central member was also overlooked in the workshop. To sum up, the workshop concluded with the data base online system which verifies the members of NTUC. The proposal get applauded in the session. The program was fruitful and various members and the affiliates union members got empowered during the whole session.
