NTUC supports victims of flood and landslides

Nepal is going through stressful situation due to receiving incessant rainfall since last week. Mostly Eastern, Central, Mid-Western and Far- Western Development Regions of Nepal are submerged due to flood and landslides. Till date, more than 115 death tolls, 38 missing, 400 houses destroyed, 34,000 has been displaced, 1000000 people are directly affected and most of the main highways are disrupted by natural calamity.

Nepal Trade Union Congress along with its local counterpart (District, Affiliates and Provincial committees) has shown solidarity and actively supporting in the rescue, response and recovery for the victims by the disastrous rainfall.

To address the flood and landslides victims, NTUC called emergency Central Committee Meeting which decided to establish NRs. 5,00,000 relief fund and also started deploying NTUC district representatives to collecting datas from their respective areas.

In this regard, NTUC would like to request all national and international partners and organization to help and assist in this dire moment.
