Nepal Trade Union Congress inaugurated Labour Post
June 9, 2019, Kathmandu. Nepal Trade Union Congress successfully inaugurated Labour Post magazine here at Nepal Trade Union Congress central building Anamnagar, Kathmandu. The post focuses upon labour issues and related topics which will be published once in every three months of the yearly calendar.
During the program, Nepali Congress youth leader and former minister Mr. Gagan Thapa was the chief guest, NTUC media department chairman Bro. Baldev Tamang chaired the program, Vice president Bro Tejendra Jung Karki, General Secretary Bro Yogendra Kumar Kunwar, Deputy General Secretary Bro Rajesh Palikhe, Sister Radhika Kuinkel, Vice treasurer Sis Sushila Ghimire, Women President Sis Sudha Dahal, Central Committee Members of NTUC, representatives of 27 affiliates union and districts of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur were present during the program.
Chief guest Mr. Thapa told that NTUC is an important organization of Nepali Congress. He said that we can revitalize our strength by revising the weakness that has been seen in previous election. He also told that as a citizen as well we have to create pressurize government and play crucial role in establishing rigid democracy practicing country.
Also, Bro. Tejendra Jung Karki told that Nepal Trade Union Congress has always been assisting and supporting Nepali Congress in increasing membership and strength of the party. He also stressed that we have to start from beginning and gradually improve our drawbacks.
Likewise, Bro. Yogendra Kumar Kunwar echoed about the role played by trade unions in establishing democracy and peace in the country. Nepal Trade Union has been successfully reflecting democratic culture as conducting General Conference like no other Nepali Congress sister and well wisher organization, he added.
Furthermore, Chairperson of the program Bro. Baldev Tamang told that after many years of brainstorming and planning, we are able to launch this special initiative. He also appreciated the efforts taken by previous leaders who started this endeavor. This magazine will raise the voice of Nepali as well as migrant workers issues, facilities, rights and problems, he stressed.
Accordingly, Welcome remarks were given by Bro Rajesh Palikhe, Sis Radhika Kuinkel, Sudha Dahal, Laxmi K.C in which they vouch for its continuity, effectiveness and participation while covering the and publishing.
At last, the reporters from online news were felicitated in the program. The Letter was handed over by Chief guest Gagan Thapa. Program started from 12 pm and concluded around 4 pm. There were more than 150 participants during the program.
