Joint Trade Union Coordination committee (JTUCC) organized First Labour Parliament in Kathmnadu, Nepal on 21st of December 2015. The Labour Parliament formally inuagrated by Rt. Hon,ble Bidya Devi Bhandar, President of Federal Democratic Republic Nepal. During the labour parliament President of NTUC Mr. Khila Nath Dahal, president of JTUC as well as GEFONT Mr. Bishnu Rimal, General-secretary of ANTUF Mr. Ganesh Regmi and veteran trade union leaders addressed the parliament. Mr. Khila Nath Dahal, President of NTUC elected as a President of JTUCC.  Mr. Bishnu Rimal president of JTUCC handed his prudential to Mr. Khila Nath Dahal for another tern. From 1st January 2016 Mr. Dahal will lead the JTUCC as a president. NTUC wish and congratulate him for his great achievement and pray for his successful tenure a head. JTUCC has been formed with the basic objective of providing a common platform for addressing all workers’ concerns and issues. The JTUCC is gradually being institutionalized as the umbrella organization for all trade unions of Nepal. The eleven trade unions confederation under JTUCC including ITUC affiliates NTUC, GEFONT, ANTUF and other registered trade union confederation. Hence, JTUCC’s goal in the long run is to develop as an organization that shall contribute towards actively developing and institutionalizing democratic culture and practice in Nepal.
