Nepal Trade Union Congress Successfully held National Commitee meeting

August 12, 2017, Kathmandu.

Nepal Trade Union Congress successfully completed its national committee meeting on Shrawan 25 and 26 here at Anamnagar, Kathmandu. The meeting invited National representatives of NTUC, Chairman province, Central member, affiliates union. The meeting included the agenas of existing issues of NTUC, Organization report, financial report, social security act, about the elction of NTUC, local levvel election, Dr. Govinda K.C hunger strike, and so on. President Khila Nath Dahal was Chairman of whole program.

During the program, Mr. Mahendra Prasad Yadav presented the organizational report. He explained detailed about the organization functioning, programs, projects that are inline. Also, Mr. Yogendra Kumar Kunwar put the financial report of the organization. He gave the information about the budget and its expenditure. The floor was open after the presentation and so on. Participants tried to clear the misconception raising the issues and concern about the organizational status and financial report.

Most of the discussion was also based upon the social security act. Former president of NTUC Mr. Laxman Basnet who played major role in Social Security Act explained about it. He also try to put light upon the relevancy and its existance in the present scenario labour market.

The meeting concluded in the 3rd day because there were evolve the issues of NTUC constitution revision and also addressing of hunger strike of Dr. Govinda K.C and support strike of temporary teachers' demand.
