NTUC women committee raised Fund to the Flood victims on Teej ocassion

August 13, 2017, Kathmandu.

On the occassion of the greatest festival of Nepali Women: Teej, Nepal Trade Union Congress Women Committee raises fund for the victims of flood. During the program Ms. Sitadevi Yadav, Treasure of Nepali Congress and former peace and minister was the chief guest of the program. Mr. Khila Nath Dahal, President of Nepal Trade Union Congress was the special guest and Ms. Sudha Dahal, President of NTUC Women Committee chaired the program.

"I am here to speak in the favor of Nepali Women, this festival empower and motivate nepali women all around the world. Besides, the busy schedule, i am here for to celebrate the festival and also asking the help from all of your side to contribute for terai flood victims", she expressed. Also, Mr. Dahal said that this festival is not only for women it is also for men because they fast for the better health and prosperity of their men.  He vouched for the rights and progress achieved by Nepali Women. Likewise, Ms. Sudha Dahal told that we were here to celebrate the greatest festival of Nepali women but with disastrous situation of flood, unable to celebrate it. 

The celebration was tersed and shifted to the fund raising activities Most of the participant were keen to donate from their part. The discussioin also took place in the meantime. People were sadened and also talking about the possibility to outreach the victims. The program was attended by nearly 100 people and the holy food for the festial teej(DAR) was also shared in the program.
