Interaction program held regarding the implementation of Social security act and revised labour act at NTUC 

August 15, 2017, Kathmandu.

Nepal Trade Union Congress organized interactive program regarding the implementation of Social Security act and revised labour act here at NTUC conference hall, Anamnagar, Kathmandu. The program invited high personell who palyed great role in the meticulous work. The Chief Guest of the program was Honorable Nepali Congress Central member Mr. Ananda Dhungana, Constitution member and Nepali Congress Central member Mr. Bharat Khadka was the special guest also CA member Mr. Pushkar Aacharya, ILO country director Mr. Richard Howard and ILO Nepal Representative Mr. Prakash Sharma was the special guest. Nepal Trade Union Congress President Mr. Khila Nath Dahal chairmed the program.

Nepal Trade Union Congress General Secretary faciliated whole program. Chief Guest Mr. Dhungana took the interactive program from historical background of democracy to the existing situation and related it to some prevalent issue of social security bill. He also addressed prudent Nepali congress leaders and theirs contribution to labours rights and upliftment. Likewise, Mr. Bharat Khadka said that Nepali Congress is that party who works but never shows off and on the other part many parties have been pedant about the welfare of the workers. He also applauded NTUC former president Laxman Basnet and many representatives in making this rights happen.

Similarly, NTUC president Khila Nath Dahal described about the Social Security Act and its challenges in implementation in the days to come. He explained the importance its relevance and efforts in the uprising of the labours. Also, Mr. Pushkar Aacharya vouch for the effectiveness of the act and the fact that should hinder it. Followingly, Mr. Richard Howard said that ILO is always with the workers and will continue to work with the rights of the labours. He told this is a well achieved victory and many more things are still need to be done.

The program was full of participants who were interested about social security act and revised labour act. Although the program was to be interactive, due to tremendous insights by the profound guest it became more than enough for the information and knowledge. The program ended after 4 hrs of resourceful session.
