NTUC representatives meet UNI-APRO aasistant General Secretary

Nepal Trade Union Congress representatives meet assistant general secretary of UNI-APRO Mr. Rajendra Acharya here at Nepal Trade Union Congress, Anamnagar, Kathmandu on Monday 6th August, 2018. The meeting attendees were NTUC President Mr. Pushkar Acharya, Senior Vice President Mr. Mahendra Yadav, Vice- President Mr. Tejendra Jung Karki, Vice- President Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, General Secretary Mr. Yogendra Kumar Kunwar, Deputy General Secretary Mr.Ganesh K.C, Rajesh Palikhe, Radhika Kuinkel, Nepal Transport Workers Union President Mr. Dharma Bhandary, Nepal Printing Press allied workers union President Mr. Subarna Jung Sijapati, Nepal Tourism and hotel allied workers union general secretary Mr. Rajendra Khadka, Central Committee member Mr. Baldev Tamang, NTUC chief Executive Officer Mr. Subarna Karmacharya and so on.

NTUC GS welcomed Mr. Acharya and said that NTUC has professional as well as personal relationship with Mr. Acharya and said that we always seek and need suggestion from the Global Union trade union and Mr. Acharya's presence can fill up that vaccum. Likewise, NTUC President told that NTUC has newly elected representatives and are looking for the much need cooperation and compliance. Therefore, it is necessary to take democratic trade union in this competative scenario with the communist allied government, he added. UNI-APRO assistant general secretary Mr. Acharya conveyed congratulation from UNI executive members and leaders and wishes for the successful tenure. He also said that he is excited with the newly elected leadership as it reflects the youth and energetic members. UNI works for the workers and come to seek for affiliation and support from us, we are ready to impart any kind of help, He stressed.

The program was interactive and Deputy general Secretary, CCM, and other leader from respective affilaited union echoed their concern during the session. The program continued for about 2 hours from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The issues covered by the program were possible joint venture work in the topic of BIMSTEC, BIPPA and other labour inclusion areas.
