Nepal Trade Union Congress organized workshop Program on the occasion of Teej

Nepal Trade Union Congress Organized workshop program on the occassion of Nepali Women greatest festival teej. The workshop aimed at empowering women leaders and young ntuc female members. Legal provision of ntuc women committee in leadership role, gender issues, workplace and household gender violence was the main theme of the workshop.

President of NTUC women committee Sister Sudha Dahal chaired the program. Special guest of the program was NTUC SeniorVice President Mahendra Prasad Yadav, NTUC vice president Bro. Ajay Kumar Rai, Women Vice President,Sis Aasha Singh Rathor, Sis Rita Khanal, previous women vice president, Sis Radhika Kuinkel, NTUC deputy general secretary. Women and Men from NTUC structure and affiliates union participated during the workshop.

In the meantime, Senior Vice President said about Women empowerment and gender equality along with sustainable development goal, Vice president of NTUC Bro Ajay Kumar Rai stressed that NTUC women must take the gender inlusion of the NTUC structure effectively. They also have to develop their capacity according to the time and consideration. Likewise, Sis Sudha Dahal urge NTUC women to take the leadership and show the capacity as provided by NTUC Charter. Sis Radhika Kuinkel told that NTUC is a platform to orchastrate and include issues of women leadership program.

The program went for couple of hours and eventually followed by teej dance program. More than 250 women participated during the program.
