NTUC Provincial Committee Submits Memorandum to all 7 Provincial Governments

All the seven provincial committees of The Nepal Trade Union Congress have submitted a memorandum to all the seven provincial governments.

On Friday, the union submitted a memorandum to press for fixing the minimum wage of workers at Rs 25,000. Similarly, informal and self-employed workers should be linked to social security, labour commission should be formed, workers should be represented at the policy-making level and workers should be registered at the local level.

NTUC has put pressure on the government to increase the wages to Rs 25,000 as the current wages make it difficult for the workers to live their daily lives.

Union members send the SMS to Labour Secretary, Labour Minister and Prime Minister on 12th July 2023 and demand to fix the Minimum wages Npr. 25,000. All the 77 district committees of Nepal Trade Union Congress (NTUC) have submitted a memorandum to the Labour Minister through the Chief District Officer on 13th July and Natioanl Committee of NTUC planning to submit the memorandum to the Labour Minister on 16th July 2023.
